Placing an order

Once we have discussed your website requirements with you we will send you an email confirming the order details along with any enhancements you wish to make, and our price.

To place the order you must confirm that the details of our email are correct.

We will carry out work once you have placed an order with us.

The order can be placed by email or letter. Verbal requests are required to be confirmed in writing before any work commences. If you place an order then you are agreeing to the terms and conditions as set out below.

Domain names

As part of your website purchase we will purchase a domain name for you, assuming that your choice of domain name is not already being used.

When we purchase the domain name, it will be registered in your name. We will continue to pay for the domain name while you continue to pay us for your website. Should you wish to cancel your website, then the cost of retaining the domain will be yours.

Provision of materials for a website

Once we have reached an agreement with you to carry out work, you agree to make all materials required for the project available to us as soon as is reasonably possible. We will accept no liability for failure to meet deadlines due to delays caused by the client in supplying these materials.

We accept no liability for infringement of copyright resulting from material supplied by you. It is the your responsibility to ensure you are supplying text and graphics legally and we reserve the right to decline to use material we have reason to believe a copyright violation is taking place.

accuracy of content on your website

We will endeavor to ensure that the content of your website is just as you requested, but as the owner of the website only you can decide whether the content is correct.

As the owner you are responsible for checking the content of your website.

Unlimited revisions

While the website is under construction we will provide unlimited revisions until you are happy with your website.

This assumes that the required revisions are things such as changes to text and images. It does not include major changes to layout or to the design. We are happy to do these for you but we ask you to pay for these. We will always be clear with you if there are any additional costs. We don't like hidden costs any more than you do! Once you are happy with the website, we will ask you to sign off the work, at which point we will invoice you for payment.

We reserve the right to withdraw our services at any time.

maintaining the website

We maintain the website. There’s nothing for you to do unless you want to make changes, in which case you can contact us to discuss the changes.

Backing up availability and pricing information

Your website is automatically backed up each time it is updated, with the exception of your availability and pricing information. Although technical failures are unlikely, for peace of mind we advise you to keep a separate record of all pricing and availability information. We do not accept responsibility for loss of availability or pricing information.

Support

We work the usual working week (Monday to Friday 9-5), and we take holidays. All work is done on a 'best endeavours' basis, which means that we will do our best to get your website work done as soon as possible on a first come, first served basis within normal working hours.

However, should there be urgent work required on your website we are happy for you to contact us outside normal working hours and will do our best to do the work promptly.

Prices

Prices are subject to change without notice.

Where we agree to make updates, we will charge a minimum of 15 minutes for each update.

Payment

You will be invoiced when the website goes live.

You will make your payment within 14 days.

Subsequent annual payments are due 12 months after the initial payment.

Re-use of designs

HowToHolidayCottage reserves the right to re-use any designs that are produced for clients.
